  • To provide a high quality garden maintenance service to customers in the Greater Manchester Area.
  • To provide work experience and training to people who are, or have been homeless.
  • To enable our gardeners to gain qualifications and to move on to paid employment.
  • To positively contribute to the local community and improve local environment.

Background Information

Phoenix Landscaping Services has been set up by the Booth Centre. The Booth Centre is an activity centre for homeless people based at Manchester Cathedral. It has been operating since 1995 and has an award winning garden and allotment and in 2004 received an award for our Contribution to the Environment in recognition of conservation work carried out in local parks. The Centre has a proven track record of providing high quality activity programmes and supported employment. Phoenix Landscape Services has received start up funding from Homelessness Directorate, Department of Communities and Local Government.
